Full membership in the IPA qualifies individuals to hold board seats and vote for the board.

Current board size is limited to 15 seats (amended from 21 seats originally). 

Elections for the IPA board are held annually in the late spring. The new board takes office on or about July 1 and immediately elects committee chairs for the new IPA year. IPA board elections are open to all full members in good standing and conducted electronically when possible.
